Davie, Florida Apr 15, 2024 (Issuewire.com) – The excitement is building as Sound Check Fest 2024 gears up to showcase the vibrant energy and talent of South Florida’s finest marching bands, drumlines, and auxiliaries on Saturday, April 20, 2024 at Rick Case Arena located on the campus of Nova Southeastern University, 3301 College Avenue, Davie, FL 33314. Set to be the ultimate battle of the bands event, Sound Check Fest will feature an impressive lineup that includes bands and drumlines from 16 high schools, 3 middle schools, and 3 historically black colleges and universities (HBCUs).
“Sound Check Fest isn’t just about the music; it’s about fostering inspiration, creating unforgettable moments, and bringing people together through the power of education and community,” expressed Sound Check Fest founder Sheldon McLean. “We’re incredibly excited to share this experience with our network of students, educators, parents, and supporters. Sound Check Fest 2024 promises an exhilarating day of entertainment kicking off at 11:00 AM with the YardFest, an outdoor fan fest featuring vendors, food trucks, fun games and activities, music, surprise performances, and more. This high-energy event sets the stage for an unforgettable day that includes Drumline Gym Battles starting at 1:00PM, followed by Marching Band Gym Battles at 2:30PM.

Covering topics such as music theory, performance techniques, and career development, participants will have the opportunity to engage with a seasoned professional, gaining inspiration and knowledge to excel in both their academic and creative pursuits.
